I must remind them that I am Thunderpaws - King of the Morning!  Run across the room fast, jump on the bed, then on the dresser and sink scattering anything in my path because I am Thunderpaws - King of the Morning...

I wake up to Spouse 'Why are our toothbrushes on the floor?"
"Why did you move them to the dresser?" I asked.
"Because I am an idiot."

Hmmmm...

My morning walk was totally boring.  Dead end access roads were the only safe places to walk but I managed to get 40 minutes out of them.  We gave Rudy some outdoor time then readied Hannah for departure.  After the morning GPS fidget, we were back on to I40 east.  We need fuel so of course, Spouse is doing his gas dance trying to get the best price.  Oklahoma City is a maze of highway intersections, so Spouse make sure he picks a gas station in the middle of the maze to optimize our entertainment in trying to get back on the freeway. Go straight here, turn left there?  Really?  Spouse, you are on the wrong side of the road...  Turn left here?  Really?  It looks like a driveway...  We finally made it and off we went...  until Spouse saw a Cracker Barrel and we stopped for breakfast.  We should have realized the portion sizes were large when we saw the clientele... rather obese.  Guess we have enough left over for a full breakfast tomorrow!

Continue east... yawn...  it is green, rolling hills... yawn.  Looking at maps, we figure we can make Memphis by around 5:15 pm or so.  On we roll... yawn...  I nap.  I wake... we are approaching Little Rock and needing gas again.  My turn to drive.  Guess I better stay awake now!  We pass a sign saying there was road construction and to take an alternate route.  But there was only one offramp, and not enough time to get off even if we knew an alternate route.  Then the tail lights...  I put the truck in park and we sat... and sat... after about an hour navigating this two mile backup, we started to move.  We are hungry enough to eat the dead armadillos on the side of the road but we are only 30 miles from the RV park we have chosen so I sped.  Screw the gas mileage!

When we got to the exit ramp (more construction - I hate construction when I am towing a beast!), we followed the GPS.  Really?  Where is this thing taking us?  It was starting to look a little scary but we ended up at Tom Sawyer's RV park right smack dab on the Mississippi River.  It is hot.  It is muggy.  It is beautiful!  And there is a full moon.  From this point on, we can slow down a bit and enjoy the ride.
